An Open Letter To Oreo: The Story Of Nofilling
Hello. I was excited to dive into the package of Golden Birthday Cake Oreos that I had just purchased, but when I opened up the package, I was dismayed to find this poor Oreo:
How alone and isolated this poor reject must feel. The taunts and jeers it must have suffered being trapped with his fellow, complete Oreos on the journey to the store, then to my home. Especially with today being Valentine’s Day, where it’s all about being filled with goodness and attaching yourself to your other half; this unfortunate Oreo has nothing to hold it together, no yin to its yang.
So I scooped it up and rescued it from its oh-so-perfect brethren, knowing the anguish it must hold inside. And I did the only thing I could do to ease its pain. I ate it.
I understand nobody can be perfect all of the time, but in memory of little Nofilling, I ask that you please continue to strive for perfection and give each Oreo the filling it deserves. For an Oreo without filling, is like Valentine’s Day without love.
